Ministry in the red-light district
Although prostitution is legal in Germany, it is still not a job like any other. Buying sex turns people into commodities, into objects. People caught up in prostitution often experience violence, exploitation, and coercion. This stands in complete contradiction to the dignity inherent in all human beings.
We are convinced that every person is wanted and loved by God. We have seen that God’s love can bring lasting change to hopeless life situations.
That is why we visit these all-too-often overlooked people and offer them dignity, respect, and new hope. Whenever possible, we accompany them on their journey toward inner and outer freedom.

What You Should Know
The reasons why people turn to prostitution are varied. The most important reason, however, is coercion. For example, they may find themselves forced by financial hardship—due to the job market situation in their home country—to accept job offers abroad or to enter prostitution directly, or they may be coerced into prostitution by others through violence or false promises. Human trafficking also plays a significant role in prostitution in Europe. Those affected are forced to live in a parallel world from which they cannot escape on their own. Due to language barriers, social and societal isolation, financial constraints, negative experiences with government agencies, and dependence on third parties, access to ways out and sources of help is greatly impeded for this target group. Current legislation is inadequate for identifying victims of human trafficking and coercion and providing them with effective assistance.
The people we encounter in prostitution come predominantly from Eastern Europe, Thailand, and South America.
In the areas where we work, we encounter a large number of residential brothels, many of which are not officially registered with the authorities. Depending on the city, there are also walk-in brothels, brothels, table-dance bars, etc.
The fact that an establishment is licensed does not provide any insight into the well-being or background of the women who work there as protitutes — as was publicly revealed and criminally prosecuted in the case of Paradise Stuttgart, for example.
The "Spiegel" aptly refers to our country as the “brothel of Europe.” But we refuse to accept this situation.
We have decided to stand up for freedom—not only for the individuals affected, but also for our society.

Zu unserem Netzwerktreffen konnten wir etwa 30 Menschen aus Sachsen und Thüringen begrüßen. Hauptsächlich beschäftigten wir uns mit dem Thema „Ausstieg“, wobei uns Marika von Mission Freedom schulte.

Women's shelter
Leaving the sex industry is often marked by significant difficulties and setbacks. To better address the needs of those affected, we are currently planning a large-scale exit program.
