Health Care

The First First Aid Clinic in Mugumu Is Being Built

Goal: To improve basic medical care in the Serengeti District

Medical care in Mugumu is unimaginably poor, and there is still no emergency care at all in the entire Serengeti District!

We have decided to improve medical care in this region. Together with our partners at ResortDoc, we have established an emergency unit in Mugumu. Well-equipped with a trauma room, ventilator, lab, X-ray machine, ultrasound, ECG, and more, we are setting a new standard for medical care throughout the region. Many lives will be saved and suffering alleviated. Our orphans, of course, will also benefit from this.

In 2023 and 2024, we expanded the facility, and in the summer of 2024, we finally opened our emergency clinic. Operations at our clinic are currently on hold due to registration issues. However, we expect to be able to reopen it in early 2026.

So far, we have already sent two shipping containers from Germany. In them, we shipped a number of medical devices—such as X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, ventilators, laboratory equipment, and more—to Tanzania.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all our volunteers. Please pray with us that all the equipment will continue to function well and be a blessing.

Knowledge Transfer

Since 2024, German doctors and nurses with experience in emergency medical services, the operating room, or the ICU have been able to volunteer at our emergency clinic. WeltBeweger covers the cost of room and board; each volunteer is responsible for their own transportation and airfare. We hope this will facilitate a “knowledge transfer” that will help the Tanzanian team (doctors and nurses) continue to improve. Black and White—a dream team. Together, they are bringing about a significant improvement in emergency medical care for the people of Mugumu and the surrounding region.

So far, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming several German doctors who have volunteered to provide emergency care at the First Aid Clinic in Mugumu for 2–3 weeks. If a German doctor with experience in emergency medical services or intensive care would like to help out at the First Aid Clinic in Mugumu, they are welcome to contact us by email.

We are very grateful for the excellent collaboration with ResortDoc, whose provision of equipment and expertise makes the First Aid Clinic possible.

Herbal Clinic
Cultivation of Artemisia

Malaria and other diseases remain a major problem, especially for people in need. Malaria is still the leading cause of death in Tanzania, claiming an average of 60,000 lives there each year.

When God created plants, He endowed some of them with great healing power. We use this power to prevent and cure malaria and other diseases. Our team has established a field and produces natural remedies using Artemisia annua and other plants. We provide these remedies free of charge to those in need and also sell them. In addition, we have opened a herbal clinic in Mugumu to examine patients in need, counsel them, and help them with natural medicine.
